Book Review: Shattered King by Sherrilee

Shattered King
Sherrilee Gray

Excellent book!!! I totally loved this one ❤️ Right from the beginning, all the way till the ending. I couldn’t put it down. My first Sherrilee Gray book and it definitely won’t be my last.

He’s after the woman who helped put him behind bars. She’s been in hiding for three years raising the son he doesn’t know about.

Holding a grudge has never felt so good.

Quinn Kavanaugh had his heart broken when his best friend Kiera left him without even saying goodbye 6 years ago. Now after Quinn had a near fatal motorcycle accident, he is in physical therapy only to find out his Dr is no one other than Kiera. She has returned home to complete her residency.
Kiera has a lot to make up for even though she has no idea why. She never knew Quinn had feelings for her. But she can’t deny the feelings she has for him now. But can she get him to open his heart back up?

This was such an awesome and romantic story. It was so real and the characters were awesome. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of this Kavanaugh family.

Book Review: Jilted by Sawyer Bennett

Sawyer Bennett
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eden and Cooper’s second chance at love. Super star returns to her small hometown only to be the most hated person in town. Can she change their minds or the mind of the man she left behind? Cute romance by Sawyer Bennett. A quick and easy read for me.

Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancé at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flame—and the landscaper for her family’s historic home—Coop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.

Book Review: Office Affair by Jess Dee

Office Affair
Jess Dee
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great read by Jess Dee. The one romance that everyone says not to have, an office romance. It makes everything crazy when it doesn’t work out. But Ben and Melissa decided to play with fire and it ignited. Such a nice and easy read relaxing by the pool.

Ben Cowley’s been Melissa’s secret fantasy for the last two years. They’re all alone in the deserted offices of Preston Elks, and Melissa is tired of being a workaholic high achiever. Just for tonight, she wants to be different.

The last thing Ben expects while working late one night is his serious, straight-laced colleague seducing him. Melissa turns his balanced world upside down with her offer of no-strings-attached sex.

After an amazingly explosive night, he realizes a brief affair with Melissa is not enough, but she’s already clicked back into her distant and professional mode.

Ben will do whatever it takes to convince her they could be so much more, even if it means inviting another man into their bed.

Book Review: Trashy Foreplay by Gemma James

Trashy Foreplay
Trashy Affair #1
Gemma James

I wasn’t too sure I was gonna love this one. But man I was surprised. I’m not always a fan of books that involve cheating. But you can’t help but cheer for Cash and Jules to break the rules and fall in love. I didn’t realize this was a series when I started it. And of course it left me with wanting more. So I can’t wait for the next book to be released.

Never flirt with temptation.
Never lust after what I can’t have.
And never, under any circumstances, screw a married man again.

With my heart and reputation in ruins, I can’t afford to make another mistake. Boarding a flight to Seattle is supposed to give me a clean slate, but from the moment Cash Montgomery slides into the seat next to mine, I’m captivated by his steel eyes that see too much. I ache for this stranger in a way I’ve never ached for anyone.

But I didn’t know he was married, and I sure as hell didn’t see the curveball fate had in store. My clean slate in Seattle isn’t so clean after all because my new boss is the man forbidden to me.

And the only man I want.

The only man I’ll do anything for, even if it means breaking the promise I made to myself when I fled my old life in shame.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for a married man, but I did.

Book Review: Any Dream Will Do by Debbie MacComber

Any Dream Will Do
Debbie MacComber
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This isn’t my usual type of read but I really enjoyed reading this story. It’s such a sweet and eye opening read.
It shows you how much others judge people due to their pasts.
It show that people are able to change and that people deserve second chances.
This story was similiar to all of those lifetime movies my mother watched when I was younger. This was such an inspirational read it just warms your heart.

Shay Benson adored her younger brother, Caden, and that got her into trouble. When he owed money, Shay realized she would do anything to help him avoid the men who were threatening him, and she crossed lines she never should have crossed. Now, determined to start fresh, she finds herself in search of a place to stay and wanders into a church to escape from the cold.

Pastor Drew Douglas adored his wife. But when he lost her, it was all he could do to focus on his two beautiful kids, and his flock came in a distant third. Now, as he too is thinking about a fresh start, he walks through his sanctuary and finds Shay sitting in a pew.

The pair strike up a friendship—Drew helps Shay get back on her feet, and she reignites his sense of purpose—that, over time, turns into something deeper, something soulful, spiritual, and possibly romantic. Even Drew’s two children are taken with this woman who has brought light back into their lives. Perhaps most important, Shay learns to trust again as she, in turn, proves herself trustworthy to her adopted community.

But Caden’s return to town and a disastrous secret threaten to undo the life Shay has tried so hard to rebuild. It will take the utmost courage and faith if she and Drew hope to find healing and open their hearts to a brighter future.
