Book Review: Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon

Eye Candy
Real Love #1

Such a cute romance between Jackie and Vince. A friends turned lovers story. I really enjoyed this one. Can’t wait to read Book 2 Arm Candy. I’m hoping this one Davis will find love. I would recommend this one to my romance book friends.

Jacqueline: As an adult woman–and the vice president of a marketing firm–I shouldn’t be waiting by my office window to ogle the mystery man who jogs by every morning at 11:45. Sure, he’s a gorgeous, perfect specimen of the human race, but I can’t bring myself to hit on a total stranger. However, my best friend-slash-colleague Vince Carson thinks I should do more than talk to the guy. In fact, he’s borderline obsessive about “getting me laid.” (His words.) But the more time we spend together, the more it’s clear: The one I’m falling for is Vince.

Vince: Jackie Butler’s got it bad for some pompous, over-pumped A-hole who struts his stuff past her window. That doesn’t bother me. I know she deserves nice things. What does bother me is that she friend-zoned me big-time last year, so I can’t ask her out myself. But what if I set her up with Mr. Steroids? Then, when he breaks her heart, I can swoop in and save her like the nice guy I am. Everything’s going according to plan . . . until we share a ridiculously epic kiss. And suddenly anything is possible.

Book Review: Last Breath by Robert Bryndza

Last Breath
Detective Erika Foster #4
Robert Bryndza

This was a great psychological thriller. The author kept you on your toes as the minutes ticked by to save a girls life. Will they catch the killer in time?
If your looking for a great serial killer book, you should try this one. This is my 2nd Detective Erika Foster book. I would definitely suggest this to all my friends.

Book Review: Hard Stick by L.P. Dover

Hard Stick
Breakaway # 1
L.P. Dover

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was so not the story I was expecting. It was so much more. This isn’t your typical sport romance novel. From the first chapter to the last , you will be wanting more.

On the ice, I’m Kellan Carter, powerhouse enforcer for the Charlotte Strikers. Off the ice, I’m just a regular guy. The last thing I want is to get mobbed by a bunch of groupies who are only after me for my fame and money. My ideal woman knows how to enjoy a little good, clean fun—and maybe some not-so-clean fun too. That’s the kind of girl I’d never let go.

When Kristen Robinson, the gorgeous, down-to-earth bartender I’ve been crushing on, agrees to let me take her out, I’m thrilled. We have an amazing night together, culminating in the most electrifying kiss of my life—and that’s it. Kristen tells me we can’t see each other again, but I know that kiss meant as much to her as it did to me. What I don’t know is that Kristen has a dangerous secret. . .

I’ve proved to Kristen that she can trust me with her body and her heart. But when her past comes back to haunt her, I need to prove that she can trust me with her life. And I might have to get my hands dirty after all.

Such an awesome read. I will definitely be looking for more books by L.P. Dover in the future. Can’t wait for the next one in this series to come out. Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Hunted by Lisa Hughey

Lisa Hughey
3.5 Stars

This was a suspense/ romance that was a continuation of a previous series. I had not read any of her previous books. I was able to pick up pretty quickly what was going on and who everyone was. So even though it’s part of a series I feel it could be read as a standalone if you wanted. This book has a little bit of everything.
Hunted: There’s only one thing worse than seeing your unrequited crush every day at the office…and that’s getting trapped with him in a snowy mountain cabin.

Maria Torres has been through hell and back. A former kidnapping victim, she’s used to being famous for all the wrong reasons and having people handle her with kid gloves. And it seems that the man of her dreams, Dwayne Lameko, is no different.

So when an ALIAS client requests her presence on an op, Maria believes she’s ready to spread her wings and prove all her co-workers wrong…especially Dwayne. But when danger follows them into the wilderness, Maria has no choice but to prove to herself and Dwayne that she’s strong enough to handle anything…even his love.

Maria Torres was first introduced in the Family Stone series, Still the One. She finally gets her happily ever after.

Book Review: The Wedding Date Bargain by Mira Lyn Kelly

Such a cute and flirty story. I really enjoyed reading this one. Couldn’t stop thinking to myself how completely stupid men can be when it comes to relationships and love.
Sarah and Max met in college but were just friends due to Max’s stupidity. Then as they run into each other years later Sarah wants Max to be the one to take her virginity. Who in the world waits till 28 to give that up? Lol!
Sarah is only in Chicago for a couple months and then is making a giant move to NYC for work.
So they decide to have a whirlwind romance while she is in town. But instead of admitting their feelings for each other, they push each other away and try to be “just friends”.
This was a good sweet romance with a couple of funny scenes to make you laugh.
She leaves you hanging wanting to read the next book in this series. Can’t wait to read more about Sean and Molly.

Book Review: Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler

Wolf Hunt
SWAT # 2
Paige Tyler

This is Remy and Triana’s suspense love story. This book has it all, hot sexy alpha males, murder and suspense, shifting werewolves, and a bunch of sexy scenes. This was my first Paige Tyler book and she rocked it. I will definitely looking for more of her books in the future. This is book 6 in this series but can be read as a standalone with no problems. This was great book from start to finish.

Remy Boudreaux is back in his hometown, New Orleans. He’s there with three of his fellow Dallas SWAT officers for a week of training with the NOLA PD. On the eve of a tropical storm, Remy and his buddies prowl the French Quarter. One tantalizing scent captures Remy’s senses, forcing him to follow until he is face to face with Triana Bellamy—his beautiful high school crush.

After reconnecting, Remy and Triana are close—very. Remy struggles to keep things casual. Ever since his partner—and first love—was killed on the job, he’s kept women at a distance.

But when a mysterious wolf pendant ropes them both into danger, Remy’s protective instincts kick in. He may have to reveal his true self…and hope Triana accepts him.
