Parker hits Layla with his car and ends up taking her to the hospital and eventually back to his place so he can keep an eye on her.
Layla never wants to have to depend on a man to support herself. She is very independent and saw what her mother went through when her dad up and left them.
Both Parker and Layla have personal obstacles to overcome. But the biggest question is
Could Layla be worth 5 million??

Always love books by this author. She has a great writing style and great characters.

Book Review: Blind Date by Bella Jewel

Blind Date
Bella Jewel

Another winner for Bella Jewel!! Once I started reading this one I couldn’t stop until I was finished. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t wait to find out who the killer was. She had me questioning and second guessing all the characters in the book.

After the death of her husband four years ago, Hartley Watson is finally ready to meet someone—and maybe even have a second chance at love. But then, just as her dating life seems to be getting started, Hartley is struck with a horrifying realization: Someone is watching her. Entering her own home. Even knows the intimate details of her life. How else to explain the strange deliveries, or the sudden appearance of mementos from her dead spouse—ones that she had kept for so long in storage?

If only Hartley could know for sure whether what is happening to her is real or if her grief is making her lose touch with reality. Those around her aren’t convinced that she’s being stalked, nor is the wonderful, supportive man Hartley’s started dating. The exciting new life she has created for herself is slowly becoming a nightmare. . .How can Hartley seek protection when nobody believes that she’s at risk—and the only one in the world she can trust is herself?

I can’t wait for another Bella Jewel novel to come out! I’m addicted. Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Cold Blood by Robert Bryndza

Cold Blood
Erika Foster #5
Robert Bryndza
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent murder mystery. Another Detective Ericka Foster crime thriller story. I love finding more about each of the characters in this series.
I was a little disappointed to find out that Petersen and Erika are no longer together. I really loved the back and forth romance between them in the previous books.
These stories really are really great. Even when you know who the killer is your still in suspense of how they are gonna catch them and what is gonna happen next.

Feel free to leave some comments if you’ve read this book/author or are interested.

Book Review: Chasing Wicked by Kathryn James

Wicked #1

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow!! That was a crazy awesome story. I couldn’t put it down. I was pulled in from the first chapter til the end.
This was so much more than what I was expecting. It had a little bit of everything, some romance, suspense, drama, and some sexy scenes.
I would totally recommend this to all my book friends to read. You should definitely give this author a chance. You will be surprised.

Book Review: Tangled in Sin by Lavinia Kent

Tangled In Sin
Lavinia Kent

I started reading this one without any idea of what it was gonna be about. So I was a little surprised to find that it’s a historical romance/erotica book. But it was a good surprise and I really enjoyed the majority of this story.

Lady Cynthia found her friend, Jasmine,as the Madam of a brothel. While she was at the brothel Jasmine’s brother arrives to talk some sense into her. Cynthia hid so that she wouldn’t be seen at a brothel. While she was sneaking away from the brothel that night she was abducted and taken to a cottage in the middle of nowhere.
James, Jasmine’s brother arrived at the cottage to rescue his sister who was suppose to be the one abducted. But he surprisingly finds a beautiful woman there in her place. He assumes she is one of the working girls from the brothel.
Cynthia wakes up in a very compromising situation with James and now he feels he must have her marry him. Even though he is the cause of this whole problem, his honor won’t allow him to ruin a lady’s reputation.
Cynthia has no plan to marry James because she doesn’t want to be forced into a marriage.
There’s lots of sexy scenes in this story and definitely keeps you interested in reading more.
The ending was very abrupt and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be continued into another story or if that is how she planned on ending the story of James and Cynthia.
So all in all I really enjoyed reading this one with the exception of the ending.

Book Review: The Baby Bombshell by Victoria James

The Baby Bombshell ( Shadow Creek, Montana #2)
Victoria James

Super sweet small town romance. This is the second book in the series. Can be read as a standalone or in order.
Lily and Jack were engaged when they experienced a super traumatic event. Jack’s twin and his young nephew were killed in an accident. And Jack couldn’t deal with it so he left town and left Lily behind.
Now 5 years later he returns to try and win Lily back. But Lily can’t seem to put the past behind her and doesn’t trust that Jack will leave her again.
And obviously as the title of the book gives it away. Jack gets Lily pregnant. Now she has to figure out if she wants Jack back into her life to raise a child together.
I enjoyed the sweet little romance between them. A pretty emotional story too with death, guilt, and of course love.

Book Review: This Time by A.J. Warner

This Time

A.J. Warner

All I can say right now is Wow!
That was one crazy roller coaster of a book. It made you feel every emotion while reading it.
A.J. Warner did an amazing job writing this one.
It touches on a lot of domestic violent situations that is a very touchy subject to try and write about.
Everything about this story felt very real.
I really fell in love with Alison and Ethan. They both had to overcome so much in their lives. It is amazing they were able to remeet and fall in love so deeply with each other.
I couldn’t imagine living in Alison’s shoes and I know there are many women out there that have.
I really enjoyed this book. It totally grabbed me and pulled me in all the way until the perfect ending.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Book Review: Love, Always and Forever by Alexis Morgan

Great read about an ex-marine that had a bad childhood and still experiences nightmares from the war and a woman that had a medical condition that caused her family to be super over protective of her.
They both have a lot of issues to overcome in order for them to love each other and realize they need each other in their lives.
This was my first book by Alexis Morgan and I totally plan on reading her other books. Especially the ones in this series. And I can’t wait for her next one to come out. Because of course she ended the book with th intentions of continuing this families stories.
Very well written. She pulls you into this love story in the first couple of pages. No you can’t put it down until it is over. Loved it.

Book Review: The Bossman by Renee Rose

This was a short easy read.
The summary is that Joey is a bad-boy mafia guy and Sophie is a good girl that doesn’t want anything to do with The Family. Her father was part of The Family and he was murdered.

This book has a bit of kink with spanking. So if you aren’t into reading those types of books this isn’t for you. If you are then read on. Sophie really likes Joey’s dominant side. And falls for him fairly quickly. She wants him to dominate her with some spanking.

I only gave this 3 stars due to how choppy the book is. There isn’t clear format when the thoughts change from one person to another. You will be reading about Joey’s thoughts and the next sentence is from Sophie’s point of view. So that tends to be a little frustrating.

Otherwise a cute fun smut read. Enjoy!
