Book Review: Wet by Angel Payne

Wet
Honor Bound #5
Angel Payne
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another good one by Angel Payne. I have t read all of the books in this series but the ones I have were really good.
She does a great job writing in order to keep your attention from beginning to end. She adds a little suspense in with her BDSM romance in this one. And also she adds in a threesome to this story which was a nice turn of events.

T-Bomb, Tait Bommer’s call-sign, has never described him more accurately. A loose cannon with a penchant for pissing people off, he’s now responsible for a major screw-up during the First Special Forces Group’s most recent mission. His mess has earned him two weeks of mandated R&R on the shores of Kauai, where the ultimatum is clear—straighten up and fly right, or don’t return to active duty. But he’s such a train wreck that even his best friend, Kellan Rush, isn’t happy about having to pull babysitting duty.

When their “vacation” is interrupted by a stranger bearing nothing but a glare, a Bowie knife, and a lot of curves in a tiny bikini, they wonder if the trip hasn’t been hijacked by island spirits. Surely they’ve found a goddess in this dark-haired beauty who not only sees their emotional scars but opens their spirits by exposing her own soul.
“Therapy” takes on new meaning when illicit desires become explosive passion…and their goddess’s sweet submission. Neither man wants to leave the island paradise, a torment that’s intensified when an old adversary threatens to steal their goddess—and rip their friendship apart.

Will Tait and Kellan let jealousy triumph? Or will they unite as brothers at arms for the most important mission of their lives in the name of the greatest cause of all—saving the woman they love?

Book Review: Rumor Has It by Jessica Lemmon

Rumor Has It
Real Love #4
Jessica Lemmon
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great book in this series. This author has such an awesome writing style. She makes it so easy to fall in love with her characters and the storyline. Can’t wait for the next one in this series.

Barrett: As a former pro football star, I’m used to playing the field. After injuries cut my NFL career short, my second act as a broadcaster ended on live television when a hot mic picked up a little verbal . . . indiscretion. But this latest publicity stunt might just land me back on top—much to the chagrin of Catarina Everhart, the prissy, beautiful journalist who’s been assigned to date a bad boy (i.e., me) and write about it. Catarina swears I’ll never touch her, let alone kiss those full lips of hers. Based on our chemistry, I’m not buying it. . . .

Catarina: Barrett Fox seems to be doing everything in his power to make me hate him. The cocky egomaniac is infamous for his bad behavior, and now, thanks to my boss’s harebrained schemes, he’s apparently my problem. As one fake date leads to another, I start to see a different side of Barrett. He’s close with his family. He does volunteer work. And, okay, he kisses like a dream. Am I really dating Barrett Fox? Or is he playing me? Because suddenly I’m risking my reputation—and my heart.

Wasn’t sure which direction this book was gonna go. And couldn’t figure out who Abi was gonna choose. Glad I read this one. This author never lets me down and gives me super steamy romances.

Abi has been in love with Del for years, but they never got around to acting on their mutual attraction. And then she met and married his best friend, Liam.

But when Abi and Liam’s marriage falls apart, Abi decides to take control of her life and find her happily-ever-after with Del. So when they’re all staying in a country inn for her brother’s wedding, Abi decides to slip into Del’s bed and seduce him…except she accidentally ends up in Liam’s instead.

Liam never stopped loving Abi, and he plans to use every blazing hot trick in his book to keep her in his bed…even if it means sharing her with Del.

Book Review: Giving Chase by Lauren Dane

Giving Chase
Chase Brothers #1
Lauren Dane
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First book in the Chase Brothers series. This is a republished story by the author. Typical Hot and steamy Romance by Lauren Dane. I’m never disappointed when I read one of her novels.
Super sexy Kyle Chase falls head over heels for school teacher Maggie when he sees her fiery side.
Maggie has horrible self esteem and doesn’t feel like she good enough for any of the Chase Brothers and she doesn’t know what to do when she has 2 of them pursuing her.

Can’t wait to read about the rest of the Chase Brothers finding love esp Shane’s story.

Book Review: Baby on the Bad Boy’s Doorstep by Victoria James

Baby on the Bad Boy’s Doorstep
Shadow Creek #3

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very sweet and romantic love story. Both main characters have lots of tragic things in their pasts that they must overcome.
Connor grew up with an abusive father who always told him he was worthless. Haley was married to an abusive and controlling ex who she finally got the nerve to leave.
Connor came home one night to find a baby on his front step with a letter saying it was his. Haley stepped up and volunteered to be the nanny to baby Rosie. Close quarters bring feelings to the surface for both Haley and Connor. They can only fight their feelings for so long before giving in.

This is the third book in this series. I love reading series about small towns and their relationships within. Can’t wait for the next in this series. Seems like there is a story behind the new pediatrician in town.

Book Review: On the Brink of Passion by Tamsen Parker

On the Brink of Passion
Snow and Ice Games #5
Tamsen Parker
3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a hard time getting into this one. I have really enjoyed this series up till this one. I couldn’t connect with the characters and how they interacted with each other.
Jubilee was a complete ice queen and Beckett was the opposite. But he took so much shit from her and basically had sex with her lying there like a dead fish. It was such a turn off to the story. I understood that she had something traumatic happen to her but you didn’t find that out until later. So I didn’t understand what drew Beckett to her. And that made me think of him as weak. I had a hard time changing my mind. The story would have been better if the characters behaved differently.

Super suspenseful romance by Lora Leigh. I love this author and her work. This is another amazing story that grabs you right at the beginning and you can’t put it down.
Lots of steamy scenes which Leigh is famous for. I can’t wait for more in this series.

Book Review: One More Promise by Samantha Chase

One More Promise
Band on the Run #2
Samantha Chase
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one started off a little slow but it ended up being a cute romance. It’s a little more goody two shoes type of romance than I typically read. But I thought overall the storyline was good.

Dylan Anders is making amends. After hitting rock bottom, he’s got something to prove and this time, there’s no looking back. Unfortunately, looking forward has him trying to volunteer for a literacy campaign where he has to win the approval of the one woman who seems unaffected by his charm. He never expected it to be easy, but he certainly never expected to have to work quite so hard to win one woman’s approval.

Ambitious Paige Walters is ecstatic when she’s hired to recruit musicians for a literacy campaign―it’s her chance to prove she’s got the chops to make it in the family business. When Dylan steps in, she immediately dislikes him and vows not to let the fallen idol screw it up. But as the work brings Paige and Dylan closer together, their attraction grows…and so do their challenges…

Long Shot
Last Shot #3
Kelly Jamieson
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cute and flirty romance!! The third and final exSEAL/bar owner finds love.
It’s not always a great idea to mix business and pleasure. Reese and Cade both try to avoid their feelings toward each other. But a panic attack draws them together and there’s no turning back.
This was such a great series by Kelly Jamieson. I have really enjoyed reading her books.
